Colorado’s Inaugural Vertex Festival Reveals Initial 2016 Lineup

As we reported last week, a brand new music festival named Vertex Festival is coming to Colorado from producers AEG Live and Madison House, the same company behind Michigan’s Electric Forest. The 3-day camping festival will take place August 5-7 at Cottonwood Meadows, a sprawling ranch just outside downtown Buena Vista, CO offering breathtaking views of Cottonwood Creek and the snow-capped Collegiate Range.


The initial lineup was revealed today and features headliners Odesza, Alabama Shakes, and two sets from Trey Anastasio Band. Other notable highlights on the lineup include Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, BadBadNotGood, Big Wild, Classixx, Dawes, Dopapod, Duke Dumont, Jai Wolf, Robert DeLong, RUFUS DU SOL, Ryan Hemsworth, Seven Lions, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, and The Revivalists.

The new festival is described on their website as “an intersection of inspiration, and as a celebration – of live music, of festival culture, of Colorado’s breathtaking natural beauty, and of the self-expression and pioneering spirit that each of these awaken. At its core, Vertex merges the best of worlds to create a present-day frontier where anything is possible. Diverse music, exhilarating outdoor adventures and artful fun and games bring people together for an enduring shared experience.”

Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 25th at 12PM MT. A payment plan will be available, as well as separately ticketed camping and RV options with VIP and Cabanas available next to a creek.
