One of the fastest growing jam band festivals in the US, LOCKN’ Festival will return to Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA, August 25-28. Previous editions of the festival has seen performances by Robert Plant, Furthur, Gov’t Mule, John Fogerty, String Cheese Incident, Trey Anastasio Band, Widespread Panic, Zac Brown Band, The Allman Brothers Band, Wilco, and Tom Petty. This year’s initial lineup is as impressive as ever, featuring some of the biggest names in Rock ‘n Roll, Folk, and Jam genres.
Headlining the 4-day camping festival in 2016 will be Phish (2 Nights/4 Sets), My Morning Jacket, Ween (2 Nights), and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (2 Late Nights). Other highlights include Charles Bradley, Brandi Carlile, Gary Clark Jr., Galactic, Keller’s Grateful Gospel, Lettuce, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Umphrey’s McGee, White Denim, and more.
“Phish has headlined their own festivals many times, but they have rarely played festivals with other bands performing,” Lockn’ co-founder Peter Shapiro told Rolling Stone. “So this is going to be a big moment for their fans. To get to see Ween play before Phish is the kind of unique musical moment that we created Lockn’ for.”
Tickets to the festival will go on sale this Friday, February 19th and can be purchased on the festival website here. Camping, VIP, RV, and Hotel options will also be available for purchase. Make sure you’re following LOCKN’ Festival on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for any future announcements including lineup additions. See the full 2016 initial lineup below.
