Two of Portland’s most loved music festivals are combining their talents starting in 2016 and organizing a joint music festival named MusicFestNW Presents Project Pabst. The 2-day event will take place August 27-28 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in one of North America’s coolest cities, Portland, OR. Project Pabst will also be incorporating night shows from both musicians and comedians throughout the city from August 25 – August 28.
Headlining this year will be Duran Duran, Tame Impala, Ice Cube, and Ween. Other highlights on the 2016 lineup include A$AP Ferg, Andrew W.K, Diarrhea Planet, Drive Like Jehu, Hop Along, Lizzo, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Parquet Courts, Sheer Mag, Strfkr, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and more.
“First and foremost, we focused on getting bands we like, but we also want to incorporate art, heritage and the overall lifestyle of our brand,” said PBR National Brand Ambassador, Matt Slessler. “By joining forces with MusicfestNW, we’ve added an additional 15 years of Portland history to the festival, as well as enhanced the festival with local production.”
Tickets for the Waterfront Park shows are available April 8th in limited quantities at early bird prices of $45 for a single day or $75 for the weekend at www.portland.projectpabst.com. Once early bird tickets sell out, prices will increase to $55 and $90, respectively. Be sure to follow Project Pabst and MusicFestNW for future announcements including the night show lineup.
