Taking place at Golden Gate Park in beautiful San Francisco, Outside Lands over the past few years has grown to be a part of the upper echelon in large scale music festivals. Held during the second weekend of August, Outside Lands has much to offer any festival-goer. Since its inception in 2008 OSL has become an annual celebration for the best music, food, wine and art that the Bay Area has to offer. Not to mention, OSL is also one of the biggest large scale festivals that prides itself on being green and being as environmentally sustainable as possible. Bio-diesel generators, a fully solar-powered stage, locally sourced food and biodegradable utensils, food containers and cups are some of the reasons why OSL has an astonishing 75% waste diversion rate. In easier terms, it means that only 25% of the waste generated throughout the festival will make it to a landfill!
During the weekend of August 7-9th headliners Elton John, Mumford & Sons and The Black Keys will take the stage. Wilco, D’Angelo and the Vanguard, Billy Idol, Hot Chip, George Ezra, Leon Bridges, Broods and Alvvays are some of the other acts in attendance with plenty more to be announced leading up to the event.
Eager Beaver (early bird) passes sold-out long before the lineup was even dropped, but fear not, on March 26th Ranger Dave will be putting regular priced tickets on sale. A 3 Day GA pass will run you $325 and VIP is a reasonable $695 with parking and shuttle options, make sure to purchase your tickets here. Don’t forget to follow Outside Lands on Facebook and Ranger Dave on Twitter. Below is the full 2015 poster.
